Ruffle and Twist by Heidi Schultz Inspired by a type of medieval veil, the pleated (or goffered) edge of this crescent shaped neck scarf adds interest, whimsy and texture to a functional and fashionable accessory.   The scarf is knit lengthwise, using short-rows and increases for shaping.   A unique twisted edging at the neck takes advantage of the natural tendency of knit fabric to roll to provide a finished and feminine hem.  Knit in a super- soft yarn, this will quickly become one of your favorite scarves this fall! Palmira Triangular Scarf by Tina Whitmore For this shawl I was inspired by the concept of interlocking palm leaves. I chose two contrasting Ombré shades  in dark colors of greys and black with a pop of yellow. The second sample is made with our neon colors, using a semi solid in glowing purple (Thistle) to contrast the range of fluorescent to pastel orange colors found in the Ombré (Neon). This is an attention holding project employing the simplicity of garter stitch for a nice combination of both a satisfying and relaxing knit. Requires 2 balls of Freia Fine Handpaint Ombré  100% US Merino Fingering Shawl Ball 100g/approx.430 yards each. Shown here with one ball in Oro Azteca (MC) and one ball in Cloud (CC) US 5/3.75mm needles 32” (or longer) circular needles. Devil's Slide by Heidi Schultz This generously sized, bias knit wrap makes clever use of two complementary ombre colorways. Simple eyelet bands add interest to the corner sections while a dramatic feather and fan slide section shows off a contrasting color. Choosing color combinations is as addictive as the knitting! Originally designed as a light wrap for a cousin’s honeymoon, the wrap will work well all year round. The super soft and lofty merino yarn and generous size makes a wonderful wrap for cool spring and summer evenings, while still working well as a scarf for colder fall and winter months. US4 / 3.5mm needles Finished size approximately approx. 22 inches wide and 70 inches long after blocking Skills: Knit, $5.50
