Description

With over 400 yards you will find enough yarn to create a medium sized shawl that is light but warm. Use two and you will have a large warm shawl or wrap to see you through the chilliest of days. Our gradients transition smoothly keeping you engaged and enthralled as you work on your project!

Our custom-spun single-ply merino is grown on small farms in the Rockies and milled in North Carolina. The yarn is hand-dyed at our studio in North Adams with acid dyes using processes that are gentle to the environment. The yarn is untreated so it must be washed by hand or it will felt. Though a single you will find it strong as our dyeing process very gently felts the yarn making it durable enough to handle the maneuvering of cables, lace and of course, tinking. When attaching one ball to the next, wet-splicing will give you a smooth, invisible and reliable join.

Beautiful squishy and soft yarn with a gorgeous color gradient. I haven’t worked with this ball yet but I have worked with the longer fingering weight yarn bomb and I know I can look forward to a lovely knitting experience and a beautiful end product. I can’t wait to get the contrast color so I can begin working with this yarn. The gradient really makes for an addicting project with a beautiful end result. The yarn color in person looks accurate to the website images and I am very happy with it.
