Designed by our very own Leah Chapman. Sequoia is a simple yet elegant open-front cardigan knit up in a rich autumn color palette. The design combines the hand-painted ombré Canyon colorway with coordinating Red Oxide semi-solid. All sizes use two balls of the ombré yarn to ensure that you will get the full spectrum of the gradient throughout the sweater without having extra yarn go to waste. The asymmetrical stripes throughout the body, and solid sleeves and collar add a fun contrasting element. Three-quarter length sleeves and lightweight 100% Merino yarn make this a great layering piece that can transition through all the seasons. We’ve assembled some color options to maximize the smooth color transition from the gradient to solids.

Designed by our very own Leah Chapman. This mermaid inspired sweater combines fair-isle patterning with the magic of ombré yarn. The bright mint fish-scale pattern on the yoke and sleeves blends slowly into a deep grey-green body. The sweater is knit from the top down in one piece, so there are no seams to sew and you can try it on and adjust the fit as you go. Originally worked in our long ago retired (wool/nylon) sock yarn this top-down sweater is a perfect project for our new lusciously soft Shaniko Fingering. We’ve assembled some color options to maximize the smooth color transition from the gradient to solids.
“Choose your size based on how you want the sweater to fit. I recommend choosing a size with a bust measurement approximately equal to your own for a fitted look. The sweater is constructed with shaping in the waist and a slightly looser fit around the hips. The yarn is quite elastic, so you can go up or down 2 inches from your measurements and still get a nicely fitted sweater. The length can easily be adjusted at several points if you try on as you go.

Caitlin Hunter strikes again with another gorgeous yoked top that we couldn’t resist. Shown here in size 5, this pattern is easy to modify to suit your preferred length. We’ve selected a soft green, Olivine, for the main body color with Water Lilies as a gentle pale gradient contrast. Other options we’ve picked are with Ecru/Kelp Forest and Papyrus/Autumn Rose.

This top-down cropped yoke sweater by Caitlin Hunter is given the gradient treatment in Freia Yarns. Shown here in a slightly lengthened version in XL this pattern is easy to modify to suit your preferred length. We’ve selected a soft green, Sprout, for the main body color with Whisper as a gentle pale gradient contrast. The two gradients are anchored by Ebony and Blue Patina, a dark and light semi-solid to round out the look. Other options are worked with South Beach as the main gradient or Fossil with a Relish accent.
Each bundle contains enough Ombre Sport and Semi-Solid balls to make the size as written, lengthening the body may require a bit more yarn. For guidance, for the XL as shown, the XL kit amount was sufficient to add another 5″ to the body length.

Coral Reef, part of our new Watercolor Collection, is the main body color with Maple, Aurora and Chinook creating contrast in the bold fairisle yoke.
Each bundle contains enough Ombre Sport balls to make the size as written, lengthening the body may require a bit more yarn. For guidance the Size 1 as shown, used one extra ball of the MC to lengthen the main body (5 balls instead of 4).
