Description

With over 400 yards you will find enough yarn to create a medium sized shawl that is light but warm. Use two and you will have a large warm shawl or wrap to see you through the chilliest of days. Our gradients transition smoothly keeping you engaged and enthralled as you work on your project!

Our custom-spun single-ply merino is grown on small farms in the Rockies and milled in North Carolina. The yarn is hand-dyed at our studio in North Adams with acid dyes using processes that are gentle to the environment. The yarn is untreated so it must be washed by hand or it will felt. Though a single you will find it strong as our dyeing process very gently felts the yarn making it durable enough to handle the maneuvering of cables, lace and of course, tinking. When attaching one ball to the next, wet-splicing will give you a smooth, invisible and reliable join.

Really lovely wool, beautiful colours. I’m looking forward to using it for a little shawl pattern I have. It’s a shame I can’t get it in the uk; having said that, the postage cost was very reasonable it arrived much more quickly than I expected. I’ve no doubt I shall be back!
