Description
With over 400 yards you will find enough yarn to create a medium sized shawl that is light but warm. Use two and you will have a large warm shawl or wrap to see you through the chilliest of days. Our gradients transition smoothly keeping you engaged and enthralled as you work on your project!
Our custom-spun single-ply merino is grown on small farms in the Rockies and milled in North Carolina. The yarn is hand-dyed at our studio in North Adams with acid dyes using processes that are gentle to the environment. The yarn is untreated so it must be washed by hand or it will felt. Though a single you will find it strong as our dyeing process very gently felts the yarn making it durable enough to handle the maneuvering of cables, lace and of course, tinking. When attaching one ball to the next, wet-splicing will give you a smooth, invisible and reliable join.

Beautiful, colors, and a dream to knit with. My only complaint is that shipping is very, very slow.

Hi Christine, I see you’ve ordered from us many times, for which we are always grateful and happy that you are enjoying the yarn. I did check on this specific order and it shipped out the very next morning after you placed your order. I’m sorry that there is sometimes a lag between ordering and shipping, rest assured we aim to get every order out within 3 business days. That being said, with 80 colors we do get overwhelmed at times, then we get behind and don’t even have a minute to fix our inventory levels on the site, which leads to exactly your disappointment (and mine).. I hate to wait on yarn too. We will continue to try to do better.

Delicious yarn to work with. Wonderfully soft with subtle colour gradation.
