A 100% wool yarn blend of Rambouillet, Corriedale and Columbia wool from sheep raised in Colorado. The fibers are worsted spun into a single-ply yarn that is surprisingly strong, yet still lofty. The fibers have a micron count of 22-24 making it soft to the touch, and yet it retains its artisanal nature, emphasized by our hand dyeing technique. Our sport is great for felting – we suggest hand washing only for non-felted items.

Omgosh…I’m in love with this yarn. The fade is done so brilliantly and lands in such perfect natural placement as your project grows. The yarn is so soft and blocks up with the perfect combination of softness and structure. The only slight challenge is that you don’t know where exactly the colours will land on your piece, so planning is a bit tricky. I just crossed my fingers and went for it, letting the yarn do its thing. And that was definitely the right strategy. I did have to add a second ball and ended up taking out a bunch of the white on the new ball (the ending colour on my first ball) to avoid having double the amount of that colour in my work. But this is a bit tricky because the fade is so gradual that it’s hard to pinpoint where exactly in the ball the new colour begins. You don’t want to pull out too much and have a noticeable jump in the colour. I got lucky and no one would ever know. So just be mindful not to try to control the fade too much and you’ll be just fine. Overall…I am in LOVE with this yarn and already have ideas on when I will use it again!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
