Another pattern with no purls needed! Worked flat on circular needles this fun pattern uses a clever combo of knit and slip stitches to create a plump waffle pattern. You get double duty out of our fingering minikins shown here as one color dominates each side of the work, giving you two different looks, and to take it a step further we’ve used 4 different minis which creates a wonderful play on colors!

Upon memorizing this uncomplicated 8 row repeat, you’ll find a meditative, enjoyable knit, further enhanced by color changes on each face of the work. Freia Yarn will keep you enchanted with the color shift. Here I’ve used one each of our new Fall ‘26 colors but you could use any two of our contrasting colors along the length of the scarf, most important is that the gradients are not the same to really show off the background vs. foreground.
